Design
The NUU ClickMate PowerPlus was announced earlier this year and since I’ve been looking for alternatives to my juice pack, I had one sent out to try out. Once the packaging was opened, first thing I noticed was the glossy finish on the case and the detachable battery pack itself was a different colour and finish, however that isn’t an issue because it will be detached when not been used.
Functionality
Functionally the NUU ClickMate PowerPlus delivered very well providing 4.5 hours of 3G and thats with the usual hardcore tweeting, sending and receiving emails and watching YouTube clips. I also managed to get a good lengthy hours video playback and over 26 hours of audio playback using the PowerPlus.
Using the NUU ClickMate PowerPlus
Using the NUU ClickMate PowerPlus was very straight forward with me just having to slide my iPhone into the device and pressing the button located at the bottom to switch it on. The detaching locking mechanism was very stable, secure and easy to attach to the case and detach from the case. The battery pack is very so light and slim in design that it was so easy to fit inside my blazer pocket whilst on the go. The blue 4 part LED lights shows how much battery life you have left and will also alert you when it’s in use with your iPhone. The discreet charging port is easily located next to the LED lights and will let you charge via USB port on your laptop or pc and either MAC or PC. You could also purchase a wall plug to go with it for easier charging and perhaps faster charging.
Verdict
Its a very well designed genius product with slick design that surpasses it’s pairs. The detachable mechanism is what sets the product apart from others out there on the market.
