I’m a big fan of carrying less whenever I am out an about; the amount of cards available for daily use from Starbucks card, bank cards and driver’s licence to loyalty cards available sometimes doesn’t make that possible. One thing that has to be carried with me is my iPhone and wallet for my cards. Having those two must haves combined into one would be a good thing and that’s where Speck products came with their cape and “S” on their chest with the SmartFlex Card for iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.
The SmartFlex Card case allows you to carry up to 3 cards (plus cash) in this flexibly protective case. Taking it out of the packaging you have a case with soft and matte finishing, making it feel just right to hold in your hand. It is flexible hence the name SmartFlex, allowing it to slightly bend so that you can slide your iPhone inside it.
It protects your iPhone with it’s tough material used to make the SmartFlex, and it doesn’t compromise the buttons, ports and functionality of your iPhone whilst still acting as a Smart wallet. On the back you have a nicely embossed Speck logo that is not intrusive in anyway and the card slot with another small slot to help remove your cards easily.
Although it is made for up to 3 cards and cash folded in between, you can simply use it with one card because the rubber grip inside will hold your card perfectly in place without feeling lose or insecure. It feels very light even with your iPhone inserted but adds extra bulk to the iPhone making it the only bad I have to say about the product; having said that it would make the perfect case for nights out when you don’t want to carry nothing but your phone. If you are the type that is not on the night out, then you can simply load it up with your business card but be careful if you have a soft business card so it doe not bend whilst inserting or removing it.
