The design of the speaker is very basic and built for solidity and durability when carrying it about; it also looks very simplistic in design with a  black front and white back both in hard glossy plastic finish.  The speaker also know as the  iF350 is very portable, weighing 1.5kb with dimensions of 276 x 157 x 41mm (W x H x D) when the dock port is not ejected.  A protective carry pouch/sleeve is provided for extra protection when  in transit.

For clear audio, the iF350 has two 3-inch speakers with the FM radio unit and the docking compartment right in the middle for a conventional docking station look.  You also get a remote control unit discreetly located in a slot on the rear of the main unit and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable and of-course your mains power lead to charge the built-in Li-ion battery pack which is capable of delivering a 15 hours usage from single full charge.

The miniature 2-inch LCD display provides information like current mode, time, station issues and track information.   All your controls are located at the top, you have a button for power on/off, choice of input (iPod, FM radio or AUX), menu/select, play/pause, forwards/backwards, and volume adjustment and on the top left is  an extendable FM aerial

Using it is very straight forward and produces clear sounds when playing music from iPod or iPhone.  The portability is definitely as it says on the tin and can’t be faulted in that area.  Some parts of it felt cheap, for example the clip and release are of the docking system.  In order to get the best signal for FM Radio you have to have the antenna out, otherwise you might struggle a little.

For the price point, the iF350 will make an excellent travel companion and no doubt it would be very useful.
