Edifier Prisma E3350 2.1 Review
:
Sounds great, looks good and good price point.:
A remote control could have been addedThis exotic looking pyramid-shaped subwoofer with super stylish satellites, makes the Edifier Prisma E3350 2.1 Speakers a fashion statement in any home.
I have tried and tested so many PC speakers and the only one I have come to love is my Logitech X-230; I love them simply because it delivers high quality sounds no matter what type of music genre I am playing with the option to adjust the bass to suit my mood; the only downside to them is the looks; it does not look appealing for anyone who wants them sitting in a living room for example.
Edifier are not new-comers when you talk about quirky or beautifully designed speakers that delivers good sound quality. The E3350 is just another member of the array of available speakers from Edifier and it surely looks nice and appealing. Watch the unboxing and quick overview video below to get a visual of the speaker system:
What’s in the Box?
- Subwoofer
- 2 satellite speakers ( with cable)
- Power adapter (with Euro and UK detachable power cord)
Opening the box, you are greeted with a nice contemporary and elegant subwoofer, satellite speakers, and the triangular volume control knob. The bass speaker has a sexy pyramidal shape to it,with the power button placed nicely on top; the power button also displays a warm halo red glow once powered on. Inside the box you also get some connectors that allow you to plug in power, the satellite speakers and the volume control. The E3350 is also available in seven colours, black, blue, gold, green, pink, purple and silver and we opted to review the silver one, although it looks more white than silver.
Getting it all set up does not need a college degree, you simply connect all the cables and attach to the audio source like your PC, iPad or a Bluetooth connector kit if you have one so you can control music wirelessly. The VGA connector was a bit awkward to tighten up due to the small space but getting a flat screw driver did the job nicely. The control knob allows you to set the volume to the level of your choice or you can plug in your headphones and listen privately.
So how well did it perform?
The rubber grips located at the button of the bass unit kept the speakers at bay at all times sturdily when tuned into full bass mode and playing music with heavy bass. It did not vibrate or crackle at high volume which was very impressive. Usually when I test speakers and they do not deliver the quality I hope for, they get unplugged, packaged and sent back but the E3350 has been used from day one and still in use with me feeling very reluctant to get them sent back to the manufacturer. The sound was of quality at every sound frequency, from treble to bass and when transitioning between sounds.
Verdict
I absolutely love the E3550, it has the looks, the quality and the pricing is just right for a PC speaker system. You can place it in any nice environment, it is sturdy and built for prolonged period of use. If you are inviting friends around for a party, this would be a perfect tool to get everyone in the mood.
