Music is a universal language and it is only right we use the right we listen to music through the right system for maximum enjoyment, no crackling, no interference and full freedom to move around maybe even whilst dancing without worrying about cables.  With so many portable speakers out on the market, it can be a tough, challenging decision when it comes to picking that portable speaker that will perform well for money’s worth.

The i-box Twist Portable Speaker is truly portable in its own right from size to weight, but that is just the tip of the ice-berg till you listen to the sound quality and you are wowed.  Note I said sound quality, it performs well but before we get so deep in the review and experience, watch the Unboxing video to see what is included in the packaging:

Unboxing, First Look and Sound Test of the i-box Twist Portable Bluetooth Speaker

The design is the first thing anyone would notice, the curves and the twist in the design, hence the name twist.  Note the Twisted design is not just there for how, it helps the sounds get distributed equally so that you can get a good coverage of bass and treble without either of them overpowering the other.  Solid grip to the surface thanks the rubber studs under the speaker.  Around the unit you also get the speaker grill covering the two 3.8cm full-range drivers and a passive bass radiator just behind it.

The Twist has built-in rechargeable battery can be charged via the supplied USB cable, will last up to five hours of music playback. Packed with Bluetooth connectivity with A2DP technology, you can hook it up with your smart phone and use it up to 10 metres away from the i-box; if you are still rocking old school music source or you want to save battery life on your smart phone then you can connect using the included  3.5mm cable instead.

The goodness does not stop there, pair up your  smartphone, and make clear phone calls thanks to the a built-in noise-cancelling mic; you will be able to use it for FaceTime calls, phone calls, Skype calls completely hands-free, you might not want to use it for private calls though. To finish off the cool design, there is a circular, illuminated, top-mounted control panel with buttons to increase and decrease volume, play songs, answer calls, pair up your portable speaker with compatible Bluetooth devices all for your convenience.

Listening back in the above video, you will hear that it produces good sound quality, only issue I had was the loudness, it was not that loud, although that will depend on music source and audio quality itself as I used Spotify for the test.   It also did not include a carry pouch for full portability, apart from those it performs well and does what it says on the tin, well shall I say on the box.
