What's This?

It looks like Apple’s second event will happen on October 22 as leakers revealed a few weeks ago, stomping over the already announced Nokia World event on the same day in Abu Dhabi.

The event will be all media like most of Apple’s product announcement events, this one will be at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California, a little bigger than the Infinite Loop stage where Apple announced the two iPhones last month.

Apple is expected to launch the next versions of the iPad Mini and iPad, but will not launch any larger iPads as rumors have hinted. We have heard rumors about both devices, the iPad 5 is set to come with a lighter and thinner design, similar to the iPad Mini and have the A7 chipset with a 64bit processor.

On the iPad Mini side, we have heard the second generation may bring a retina display, although leakers are not to sure on this rumor, with some saying Apple will hold this off until 2014. With the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HDX both coming with 1080p screens, it may be time for Apple to set a higher resolution.

Other features on the iPad Mini will mimic the iPad 3 or the iPhone 5, with the A6 processor. Apple is likely to stick with the prices set last year for both devices, with the big changes happening in 2014.

Apart from iPads, the event may have the new MacBook Pro with Haswell processor, alongside the newly designed Mac Pro or at least a date when it should be available in stores. We may see a teaser of the iWatch for 2014, but nothing more, Tim Cook has even said this year will have no new markets.
