What's This?

#BendGate has become one of the most popular and hilarious topics on Twitter, with a lot of testers and users showing proof the iPhone 6 Plus has been poorly designed when it comes to bending.

Some videos have taken it to the extremely with chemical destruction and machines, but the original BendGate creator, Unbox Therapy, has shown that not much force needs to be put into bending the iPhone 6 Plus, in a new video.

It is one of the more hitting videos on the BendGate issue, instead of showing how machines can tear apart the iPhone 6 Plus, the video shows that a new phone from Apple can bend in a matter of hours, without putting too much force down.

The killer is after Lewis (the guy in the video) bends the iPhone 6 Plus, he proceeds to show how smartphones don’t “bend” under normal circumstances, showing the Moto X (2014 Edition) with the same amount of force.

The Moto X is a fantastic device when it comes to durability, but some other flagships might have less of a troublesome time bending under the same conditions. This is still not a good excuse for Apple however.

The recent statement from Apple claimed the amount of people with this bending issue is low, compared to the overall sales. We are still unsure about what Apple is doing to combat this issue, perhaps we may see some structural changes in the next few months.

iPhone 6 appears to be fine under the same pressure as the iPhone 6 Plus. We have to put the bend down to the size of the device and the lack of structure, making it easily bendable in the middle.

We are bound to see more and more videos pour out about the iPhone 6 Plus. Hopefully, Apple will make a move to stop more iPhones from bending soon.
