What's This?

It was announced just that Google have bought Motorola for £7.7Billion, a move that many techies are regarding as a very smart decision to expand the Android system and take over Apple. What do you think?

In the words of both Google and Motorola they claim the move will “Supercharge” the Android operating system and although they are buying a mobile phone business they will freely provide there system to all other mobile phone manufacturers as it already currently does.

Motorola is built up of 2 sectors – there mobile manufacturing side and there “Mobility” sector which currently has a strong commitment to Google’s Android. As part of the deal Google will also buy shares of the Mobility sector at cost of $40.00 each which is estimated at 63% ver closing price of Motorola Mobility shares on Friday.
