What's This?

Head of Chrome and Android Sundar Pichai said after the Nexus 7, Android 4.3 and Chromecast reveal there would be a Nexus 10 revamp coming shortly, but he failed to specify a manufacturer or date.

Samsung was the first manufacturer of the Nexus 10, it came with a top-line display and some powerful specs, but failed to capture a large audience because of the price and lack of Android tablet apps. We may see Google step away from Samsung as they have with the Nexus smartphone, to find another company capable.

ASUS has done extremely well with the Nexus 7, with over 8 million sales of the first generation tablet and 3.5 – 5 million expected from the revamped version, if not more due to excellent reviews across the board.

We also know ASUS are trying to make their break in the US market, especially in smartphones. If the company bags another Google Nexus project, they will get more visibility in the US and consumers will not find the name shifty, as some new Chinese manufacturers are seen right now.

With a new leak showing the ASUS manufacturer mark on Nexus 10 stock, this is another step to verifying the company as the manufacturer for the Nexus 10. What we hope is ASUS and Google work on price this time, with the specs in the Nexus 10 already trumping the iPad 4 and any other tablet on the market.
