Action camera brand iONis excited to announce its further dominance of the smartphone app sphere with the launch of its V1.1 Android app, now free to download from users App stores. The app joins the already popular iPhone/iPad app which has now been released in a V3.2 format. The update allows users even more control of the action and is also available for free on iTunes.

As the first HD action camera to bring a fully waterproof encased Wi-Fi model to the market, iON is used to being ahead of its game and the revolutionary smartphone apps are no exception. The Android app extends the potential and reach for instant exposure to the iON user allowing them to not only control the recording via the device but to also transfer files from SD card to smart device and share images for instant uploading to Facebook andYouTube. Instant sharing via iON CLOUDis also soon to be released.

Other features of the Android App include:

  • iON photo preview
  • Ability to create and delete albums from the App

The Android App is available to download now and users can update atwww.play.google.com. Features will include a dashboard page, remote and video player.

 

TheiONV3.2 iPhone app creates incredible user-friendly updates for the already hugely successful iPhone/iPadapp, making the transition from camera to smartphone even more seamless. The ground-breaking V3 app was launched earlier this year, paving the way for the Android app and actingas the first ever action-cam app that allowed for remote control capabilities and camera setting alteration.

The V3.2 iPhone/iPad app updates include:

  • Portrait and landscape orientation option motion effect on switch page
  • Download action progress bar and the option to delete,pause and cancel downloading

  • Added HD/ FHD icon on a video thumbnail, for separate big (hd) video and small lower res video
