What's This?

BlackBerry may be on the verge of getting out of the mobile business, but that has not stopped the company prepare a new BlackBerry Z30 device, set to take over the flagship spot on the Z brand.

The big push for BB10 to take over the world has not succeeded, with the BlackBerry Q10 and Z10 only bringing in a measly three million sales, this is less than HTC One, which sold five million units in the opening month.

With news that BlackBerry has prepared a special committee to work out what to do with the company and BBM possibly getting sold off or created into a new subsidiary, it does seem like dire straits for the once powerful mobile company.

The BlackBerry Z30 new leaked video shows a rather handsome and large device, with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display and 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB on internal storage.

This will apparently be a new flagship to herald the release of BB10.2, the newest update to the mobile OS. This is expected to bring a few new features and some that will take advantage of the larger screen.

BlackBerry just took a big hit when one keen eyed journalist found over a third of all the apps on the BlackBerry World store to be made by the same developer and most of them are junk that would not get through iOS, Windows Phone or maybe even Android.

The BlackBerry Z30 will be marketed at the same price as the BlackBerry Z10, this may not be a great move for BlackBerry, struggling to really point out a reason to get a BlackBerry device.
