What's This?

The LG G Watch hasn’t been as hyped as the Moto 360, even though both are running Android Wear software. It looks like Motorola managed to capture fans of the circular display, who want a smartwatch to look like a regular watch.

We have got confirmation that the LG G Watch will come before July this year and will cost under £180. It is weird that LG are using terms like lower and before when it comes to confirming news on the LG G Watch.

Pocket Lint got some hands on time with the device, even though the display was not functioning, it is the first time we get to see the design of the LG G Watch, looking very similar to the Galaxy Gear.

The LG G Watch has the same rectangular watch-face, but does not come with any physical buttons on the front or sides of the smartwatch, possibly hinting at wireless charging being the only option on the device.

Android Wear has made a lot of mobile manufacturers more confident when making smartwatches, now they don’t have to worry about using custom version of Android or their own mobile OS to sell the device.

Sony is still in the dark when it comes to Android Wear, but Samsung, ZTE and a few other Android partners have announced they will be building smartwatches running Android Wear this year.

What we worry about is how the LG G Watch will stack up against the iWatch, if it cannot come close to the hype Motorola’s Moto 360 is getting at the moment, how is it suppose to beat Apple when it comes to design.
