LG is hosting a Mobile Event on August 7 and this could be the reveal of the Optimus G2. The event will be held in New York City and it will be a “international media event” instead of just a U.S press event.
We are unsure if LG will just announce the Optimus G2 or if we will see new TVs with web OS and some other new releases. LG has not been known to hold huge press events, so this is quite new to us.
With Samsung, HTC and Sony all holding big phone events now, we are unsurprised to see LG starting to do the same. The Optimus G2 will be the first to have the new Snapdragon 800 processor, unless the Galaxy S4 LTE-advanced variant comes first.
