Logitech UE London Launch Event

With the release of the iPhone 5 and other smart mobile devices, now is probably the best time to release audio systems with wireless technology and one that is not affected by Apple’s change of direction with their 30 pin dock connector and after joining forces with UE (Ultimate Ears) back in 2008, Logitech have gone to use their unique wireless technology and acoustic engineering across wide range of products as demoed at the official launch event at London’s Village underground.

Logitech has every angle covered with wireless speakers, mobile speakers, over ear headphones(Wireless and Wired) of all sizes, in ear earphones and smart radio also.  We tried out some of the new range of sound devices and the UE9000 caught our attention with the sound quality, noise cancellation and sound isolation; the design and aluminium finish was added bonus of high standards adding a luxurious feel to them; at £299 they really are worth the price.

Other product launched included the  UE Air Speaker with WiFi connectivity so that you can stream undiluted music via Airplay using your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch etc, featuring dual tweeters and woofers that delivers incredible sound with such simplicity and a dock slide out in case you need to charge your device.

Air Speakers:

The UE Boombox also delivers sound wirelessly with up to 6 hours playback; the handy audio device weighs just about 4.3lb making it very portable to carry around and with the oldschool boombox looks, you might as well mount it on your shoulder and play your music out loud. If you are worried about your mobile device battery life, you can simply connect via the 3.5mm port.  The capability to connect up to three devices also makes it the perfect companion for any party that needs livening up.

BoomBox:

The Colourful UE Mobile Boombox is a portable bluetooth audio companion allowing you to pair up to a whopping 8 bluetooth devices with two connected at one time.  The portability makes it ideal for day out to the park or take it on holiday with you to the beach side.  It weighs just 10.51 oz and offers up to 10 hours audio playback time now where were we?

The wearables comprises of four different headphones offering their own unique way of enjoying your music, Logitech launched the UE 900 with four armature speakers in each ear cup, three-way crossover and Noise-isolating system that fits all ears and heads.

They also launched the UE 9000 wireless headphones, which as mentioned earlier caught our attention the most and it is not because we have expensive taste, it features Active Noise Cancellation and digital amplification so that your music is not compromised.  The two other variety available are the UE 6000 with ANC also and the UE 4000 with incredible output.  They The wearables series all come with  Volume/ Mute function and Microphone feature for making and receiving phone calls.

Since most devices are now coming with something smart to offer, Logitech also introduced the UE Smart Radio for those who sometimes get bored of their playlist or run out of music of their own to play.

UE Smart Radio:

You have access to unlimited variety of music from thousands of online radio stations and if you have a Spotify account like us, then you are on to a winner here.   It offers a two-way speaker system to deliver rich room filling sounds.
