What's This?

Google will be revealing the Moto X at New York City on August 1, but until then we have six photos showing different benchmarks and specs for the new flagship smartphone, made by Motorola and Google.

The six photos are crammed with information, including the specs for the Moto X and the benchmarks against other top-tier devices. Details seem to mimic those we have already heard, so it is hard to argue against the evidence.

The Moto X will apparently come with a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 720×1184 display, 10.5MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera, Android 4.2.2, NFC, 2200mAh battery, LTE and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

This is quite the line of specs pre-launch, but we will still have to wait and see if there is any surprises to be had. The Moto X is a very exciting device, simply because Google has had a big hand in the development.

However, with these mid-range specs, we question how the Moto X will really stand out from the crowd. It certainly looks like an incredibly well build device, but the HTC One S did and that didn’t do very well in the US or anywhere else.

We may see advanced sensors and Google has been working hard making Android less of a battery burner. With this 720p display we may see a lot less battery consumption, possibly pushing the battery life to more than two days.
