Following the successful launch of the HTC One, HTC are looking to another home run with the all new HTC One M8; after months of leaks from various sources, it is now official and we have details on the official specifications of the new HTC One from London.

Many expected HTC to reveal their new flagship device at MWC with other manufacturers like Samsung, Sony, and Huawei amongst others releasing their new devices, but why release your latest flagship device dubbed the biggest launch for HTC thus far at MWC when you can have your own event with all eyes on you.

HTC M8 features a 5″ Full HD LCD scree with 440PPI, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM, 2600 mAh battery, Adreno 330 graphics chip, 64G Micro SD slot and Android 4.4.2 KitKat . It has a dual-tone looking LED flash , sports a Dual Camera, which will allow users to create vivid images even in low light and professionally edit memories after you’ve taken the shot. Choose where to focus, highlight what you love, soften backgrounds and add 3D effects.”

It has dual frontal stereo speakers (HTC BoomSound) like its predecessor, with the 2600mAh battery, HTC has introduced what they call “Extreme Power Saver Mode” to help make the battery last as long as possible.

HTC Sense 6.0 Features:

  • Motion Launch gestures: “Allow Motion Launch gestures to wake screen”
  • Double tap: “Pick up the phone in portrait orientation and double tap to wake”
  • Swipe left: “Pick up the phone in portrait orientation and swipe left to wake phone and launch widget panel”
  • Swipe right: “Pick up the phone in portrait orientation and swipe right to wake phone and launch BlinkFeed”
  • Swipe up: “Pick up the phone in portrait orientation and swipe up to unlock”
  • Volume buttons (in landscape): “Pick up the phone in landscape orientation and press the volume button to wake phone and launch the camera app”

There’s also swipe gestures which allow you to switch between the front and rear cameras with ease. There’s a bunch of new settings for your selfies alongside Pan 360 and more video options.

There’s also a case that allows you to view quick information like who’s calling and the latest weather around you.
