What's This?

I spotted the VooMote Zapper online last week and I had one flown sent in from zero1.tv . This tiny little gadget combined with an iOS app that has a slick interface was powerful and makes me feel even more of a gadgetsboy than ever.

I was expecting something big, but it was so tiny and portable; it fits perfectly in my gadgets bag. In the packaging is the VooMote Zapper, some instruction manuals (tiny one) and all you got to do is plug it in your iDevice, in my case, my iPhone and later tried it on my iPad since I need my iPhone for other things; it promted me to download the app which I downloaded straight away.

To use VooMote to control my television, satellite TV and room lighting, I first created a new room, called it bedroom then went through the list of model from the vast list of devices the VooMote application has pre-configured. In my case, my room lighting system was not in the VooMote library because it was OEM system, so I went through the process of teaching it, which took about a minute and once it’s done that’s it, goodbye to my remote controls.

My VooMote zapper came in white, but you can pick up various colors from Smart gray, blue, green, pink, navy, red, black; the VooMote Zapper has 4 built-in IR transmitters that’ll control your IR gadgets as long as you’re in range of the unit in general (hopefully they can find a way to make it wifi or something so I can control my neighbors TV). VooMote Zapper is brilliant idea and i’m impressed, it can control a list of devices just to name a few:

– Television
– DVD player
– BluRay Player
– Cable box
– Projectors
– CD Player
– Game Consoles
– Home automation

Did I also mention that it includes TV guide? and if you would like one you can get it from here for €69.95

GadgetsBoy [xrr rating=5/5]

I can’t fault it and that’s rare!

What do you think? would you buy one? … what do you think of the price?
