What's This?

I can guarantee I am not the first person to have a rant about this; by now we should all be at a stage where we have data connection everywhere meaning we should always be connected by now. We should at least be at hotels without having to pay to use the Internet or when it is open at least be able to stay connected without having to go through the log in page every time we need to access the Internet.

Yes this is a rant, and it was as a result of travelling when I start to notice more and more that everywhere I struggle to get a decent Internet connection for my phone or even laptop.  Airports should have a free Wi-Fi so people can check-in, check their emails, FaceTime their loved ones before they embark on their journey hundreds of miles away.

Hotels should provide a stable and fast internet connection where once you settle in you can again check your emails, watch Netflix if you need to, play Xbox online if you have your Xbox with you, conduct a conference calling session with your colleagues back at the office and perhaps check your bank balance; even Hotels in the UK where broadband internet is as cheap as £10 a month this days are guilty of slow internet speeds that you have to waste a good 10 minutes of your life trying to log on.  Some even use it as an opportunity to ask for your details so they can spam you inbox with offers and things I have no interest in.  After paying for the stay, Internet should not be a luxury to pay for.

Lastly, why is there no data point at the Tube station in London or on UK trains, when you do have one you either have to pay or the ones that are free will never connect or you have to input your email address so they can add you to their mailing list WHY?

2013 is coming to an end, and I feel internet should be everywhere in any developed country, on the Train, Hotels, Airports, Hospitals just to people can stay in touch or carry on been productive with the Internet related part of their lives; 2014 should be a turning point for providers and the perhaps the governing bodies and make fast internet connectivity available and for free “everywhere”.

Have a great week.
