World’s smallest and cheapest PC – USB stick PC with full HD capability

USB PC

Here comes a PC that definitely deserves the title as the “world’s smallest PC”. You can call it USB stick PC, which is a PC housed in a USB stick. Unlike those USB sticks loaded with virtual PC software, it’s actually a functional personal computer, that comes complete with a processor, RAM and a number of ports.

The USB stick PC is powered by a 700MHz ARM11 processor, has 128MB of RAM, a USB port, an HDMI port and a microSD card slot. What’s more amazing is it runs OpenGL ES 2.0 which is capable of delivering decent graphics with 1080p output performance.

It runs Linux OS. You can simply hook up an HD display/monitor to its HDMI port and a USB keyboard to its USB port, to form a complete personal computer.

And more amazingly, it costs only $25. It’s definitely handy for users on the go, as you can carry it around like a USB flash drive. At the moment it’s just a prototype created by game developer, David Braben. But it’s highly expected to be available in next 12 months, through a new charitable foundation called the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
