Proving that style and substance can work hand in hand, a leading hotel bedding supplier has joined forces with innovative floating bed brand, Levitas, in order to create sleeping solutions with a 21st century twist.
As technology continues to evolve at an unprecedented rate, the world of interior design is keen to embrace the latest developments in order to inject elements of luxurious functionality into a whole host of living environments – and this new range of award winning, levitating beds is testament to that.
The latest addition to Mitre Linen’s collection of hotel furnishings, this exciting new product joins luxury bed linen, sumptuous bathrobes and towels, pocket sprung mattresses and bespoke blankets.
Inspired by Scottish entrepreneur and designer Craig Phillips’ love of magic, Levitas beds are perfect for hanging from the wall and can add a touch of intrigue and allure to a hotel room, creating an unforgettable experience for guests.
Their design also makes them quick and easy to clean and vacuum under – improving airflow and reducing levels of dust and allergens. What’s more, with space often at a premium in hotels, a gravity defying floating bed is a clever – and fun – way to optimise the size of the room.
Of course, it’s not all about style. The state-of-the-art technology, made from 100% recycled aluminium incorporating a hidden cantilever support system, this innovative bed is deceptively strong and can hold the weight of up to ten people, making it durable and reliable.
The beds come in five sizes as standard (Single, Metric, Double, King and Super King) and in five colours (Brownstone, Limestone, Gypsum, Coal and Moonstone) and have been designed to fit in all types of rooms. Fully customisable, each bed can be finished with a padded fabric or painted and under lighting is also available with 16 million colours to choose from – making it easy to find a look that will complement your existing décor.
Prices start at £2,570. Optional extras include illuminated floating shelving and glass bedside tables.
Mitre Linen is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Its Levitas beds feature in the designer Heritage range of the new bumper Mitre catalogue.
