What's This?

In a bid to be in the game before anyone else, Samsung is preparing to launch a flexible smartphone next month. The unnamed smartphone will have a flexible and unbreakable display, but the design will stay similar to most Samsung smartphones.

The news was picked up at Samsung’s event in Seoul, South Korea after the announcement of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear. We may see Samsung add a new version of the Galaxy Note 3, with the idea of selling it to people who regularly damage their device.

This would fit with a recent rumour regarding two new Galaxy Note 3 devices coming to the range. Currently, the Galaxy Note 3 is the only device, with a faux leather back, 3GB of RAM and some pretty impressive internals.

Samsung is set to make the Galaxy Note 3 line like the Galaxy S4, with the current version, Active, Zoom and Snapdragon 800 variant in Korea. We believe the Galaxy Note 3 will have the flexible screen and possibly another with a larger camera.

The flexible display will not effect the design of the smartphone in any way, the Galaxy Note 3 will not be fully bendy and we doubt the phone will have any change in internal power compared to the original.

This is the start of flexible displays and not having to worry about damaging the screen on the smartphone. While Samsung may be first to the table, we have heard LG are also looking at making a smartphone with a fully flexible design.
