What's This?

Motorola has still not revealed details on release date for the Moto 360, their first Android Wear smartwatch. The event set for September 9 is a good indication of when we will find out, but for now it is still all about leaks and rumors.

Speaking of leaks, the one from Best Buy gives us as much information as we are going to get until the official release. The webpage, promptly deleted by Best Buy, showed the price and specs of the Moto 360, Droid Life managed to capture the screenshots.

The Moto 360 will be sold for $250 over in the United States, meaning it could come for around £199 in the UK. The LG G Watch is currently priced at £159 and the Samsung Gear Live comes for £169, meaning the Moto 360 would be a bit more expensive.

Motorola does offer the only circular display on the Android Wear range, making it a better deal for anyone who is looking for cosmetics. On the specs side, the Moto 360 will be packed with a Texas Instruments processor, 512MB of RAM and Bluetooth 4.0.

In terms of materials, Motorola will add stainless steel on the front and plastic on the back. A heart rate monitor and pedometer will be packed into the Moto 360, to work with the fitness tracking applications on Android Wear.

The Moto 360 will be water resistant to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes, similar to most water resistant devices. No word on the charging device for the smartwatch, we expect Motorola will add some form of wireless charging.

This is the smartwatch everyone wants to get a hold of, but Motorola is taking their sweet time releasing it. Compared to LG and Samsung, Motorola is months behind schedule, but it could all come together alongside a new Moto X+1 smartphone on September 9.
