It’s that time of the year again (no, we’re not talking about Christmas) as Google has now unveiled its latest flagship smartphone range, the Pixel 10 series. The company’s new devices come with some much-welcome upgrades, while retaining key design elements as well. What can you expect though? Let’s take a look!

Composed of four new models all in all, the Pixel 10 series consists of the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The phones feature Google’s brand new Tensor G5 chip, a 3nm processor manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC), the same company responsible for Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon processors. Google does promise better performance this time around in addition to enhanced AI features.

In terms of design, Google didn’t change much with the Pixel 10 phones, and you could even probably mistake them for the Pixel 9 series devices at first glance. There is a new Pixel Snap feature though, which allows users to clip accessories magnetically on the new phones (ala iPhone). That being said, the Pixel 10 now features a triple-camera setup which includes a 48MP main camera, 10MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. In front you’ll find a 6.3-inch AMOLED Actua Display which gets bright at up to 3,000 nits, with a 120Hz refresh rate.

As for the Pro and Pro XL, you’re getting different displays at 6.3 and 6.8 inches, respectively, with the larger variant maxing out at 3,300 nits of brightness. They also feature more generous RAM options at 16GB with varying storage configurations, compared to the Pixel 10’s 12GB memory setup. For battery, there are varying setups with 4,970 mAh for the Pixel 10, 4,870 mAh for the 10 Pro, and 5,500 mAh for the 10 Pro XL. Both Pro models also feature 50MP + 48MP + 48MP camera sensor setups.

The largest of the bunch is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which comes with an 8-inch “Super Actua Flex” folding screen, in addition to a 6.4-inch outer Actua display, both of which come with up to 3,000 nits of brightness. Interestingly, the 10 Pro Fold also comes with IP68 water and dust protection, alongside a reinforced hinge that Google says can last for up to a decade’s worth of use. For cameras, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold features a triple-camera setup with a 48MP main camera, aided by a telephoto and ultra-wide lens.
As for pricing, the Pixel 10 starts at £799, while the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL go for £999 and £1,199, respectively. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the most expensive of the bunch, starting at £1,749.
