What's This?

The red carpet is ready to be rolled for the eagerly anticipated hottest gadget, the iPhone 5.  Indeed, iPhone 4S has been a stud so now raises a sky high expectation as to how good will iPhone 5 be or will it be able to surpass the grand standards set by the iPhone 4S.  Apple has done a remarkable job in keeping tech doctors, consumers and tech gossipmongers at bay before announcement.  Altering the saying, curiosity “thrills” the cat.  Most of us earnestly forecasted that the iPhone 5 will be unveiled at the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) 2012, this June but it is said to be launched this fall. The tickets are available online or reach the customer service number, don’t delay in getting your phone number right.

When it comes to a gadget, some primarily consider its software and the rest hardware to decide the best, but bothare universally evaluated categories for judgment.  So let’s do the same for both iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, and judge who might reign the market until the next competitor conquers.

iPhone 4S

A lot was rumored prior to 4S’s entrance. With mostly negative and a very few good reviews, everyone foresaw iPhone 4S inferior; but slapping the bad, this newbie rocked the market and implanted fear among its rivals.  Let’s see why

iPhone 5

Unlikely to resemble the iPhone 4S, as gossiped by some, there are some expectations that Apple will not try to disappoint if it wants to run the show.  Some of the expected features that will make it stand apart from its predecessor are as follows:

  •       Display: LED-backlit IPS TFT  with In-cell touch panels, metal case
  •       Size: 4–4.5 inches, expected to be 2 times thinner than 4S, said to be 7.90mm thin
  •       Protection: Liquidmetal

  •       Dock-plug: yes
  •       OS:  iOS 5.1 (with most likely planned upgrade to higher version) or iOS 6
  •       Retina display: 4 inch
  •       Camera: 8MP
