What's This?

Google announced hundreds of new API’s, software updates, new applications and enhancements to services at Google I/O this year, but one major feature missing was a new mobile operating system.

However, it may not be a long wait for Android 4.3, the newest version of Jelly Bean. Even though Key Lime Pie could be still ready, we are sticking with the rumours and they all point to 4.3 instead of 5.0.

The latest leak comes from a Thailand mobile expo where a user by the name of XDA showed the Nexus 4 running Android 4.3. This is not the first time we have seen faked leaks, but with this new camera application, it makes the leak a little more legitimate.

Android 4.2 just brought a new camera UI to the operating system, but there is still some small bugs and problems with the camera application and Android 4.3 could bring a less buggy UI to the fold.

We expect Google to launch Android 4.3 with a new Nexus device or perhaps the long rumoured X Phone. According to sources, Google may just launch the new operating system update with a revamped version of the Nexus 4 with 4G and 32GB of storage.

This is expected to happen before Q3 this year and Google will round off the year with a new tablet launch, some new Chromebook’s and Google TV’s, a new Google streaming device and perhaps even a Google Glass consumer launch.

It is a packed year for Google and we are really hoping for some exciting hardware, after the three hours of software launches we witnessed at Google I/O.
