What's This?

HTC is already starting to work on other devices, despite the hugely positive reception by critics and users alike regarding the HTC One. The company is also currently trying to get the HTC One supply issues sorted out, with many regions still in the dark.

The Taiwanese mobile giant has also struck an old partnership with Facebook, to develop the HTC First. This will be the first smartphone with Facebook Home pre-installed.

The HTC M4 looks to sit in the middle of the pile, with pretty good specs but nothing to beat the HTC One. HTC’s CEO did say there would only be one flagship this year.

Based on details from “sources from the upstream supply chain” the M4 will have a metal chassis and the exclusive supplier for HTC is Catcher Technology. HTC is preparing 700,000 units for first batch buyers.

The phone will have a 4.3-inch 720 display, a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Jelly Bean will be on the smartphone and we suspect Sense 5.0 will make an appearance.

HTC will continue to add the Ultrapixel camera and the HTC M4 will have the new camera, although the amount of “ultrapixels” is still unknown. The front facing camera will have a 1.6MP shooter.

Orders will start in June for the mid-range device and we suspect it will be a nice partner to accompany the HTC One.
