What's This?

The HTC One Max is the third smartphone in the One line, with the original and the Mini both on sale in various countries around the world. The Max will be the phablet of the group and come with specs to match the Galaxy Note 3 and other top-end big phones.

It will also come stockpiled with the latest advances in mobile technology, including the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage and a 3500mAh battery, the same as the one of the Droid Maxx.

With a 6-inch screen, the HTC One Max promises to push the boundaries of phone and tablet, just as the Xperia Z Ultra, Galaxy Mega and Huawei Ascend Mate have all done in the past.

In a size comparison with the 4-inch Motorola XT882, the HTC One Max really shows its huge display, really bringing the question about what size a smartphone should be for the average user.

HTC has dropped a “Big things ahead” hint on Twitter and Instagram, with the photo leaks out today, perhaps this was their back up hype solution, if somehow the HTC One Max got leaked before they could release the device.

Release date is still a little misty, with HTC’s slow release into other regions, we believe it will be launched sometime this year, perhaps in September/October to mix with Apple and Samsung.

The HTC One Max will probably be marketed competitively against the Xperia Z Ultra and Galaxy Note 3, two big devices with big price tags.
