What's This?

The HTC One will be announced in London and New York on March 25 and the Taiwanese company is already starting their teaser campaign leading up to the launch.

Selfridges, a well known chain of high-end supermarkets, is now teasing the HTC One on their window in London. The teaser reads ‘Feel It’ with the date shadowed underneath and the HTC One name on the top left.

It looks like we will see HTC continue to use the same name as the previous flagship. This means we should see the HTC One Mini and Max this year, to continue the brand through 2014.

The HTC One has a lot of competition already, including Samsung’s Galaxy S5 and Sony’s Xperia Z2. We have already seen photos and video of the new smartphone, including a new show of the dual-camera and software.

Design will not change on the HTC One very much, we will still have the front-facing speakers and metal unibody. The side-bezels will be chipped off and the size of the screen will be pumped to a 5-inch display.

Internally the HTC One will have some small steps up, there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 2800mAh battery, 13MP rear camera with a 4 UltraPixel camera.

Software was a big focus for HTC last year, they added the Vine application ‘Zoe’ and BlinkFeed, alongside some other customisations to Sense UI, to make it more of a full update, rather than just a skin overlay.

HTC is definitely one of the best companies for both hardware design and software skins on Android. In our mind, they beat Samsung last year and they will probably do the same this year, considering we have already seen the Galaxy S5.
