What's This?

Audio titan Sennheiser recently showed off some rather tasty-looking tech at the Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, marking the arrival of new wireless audio products including the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4, ACCENTUM Plus, and MOMENTUM Sport. The company says that the new earbuds and headphones pack “state-of-the-art” tech, making them ideal for power users, and presumably hardcore audiophiles as well. Let’s take a look!

MOMENTUM True Wireless 4

Starting things off is the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4, which packs some heavy-hitting hardware including Qualcomm’s S5 Sound Gen 2 platform and Snapdragon Sound Technology, as well as support for Bluetooth 5.4 and Auracast. Sennheiser says that the earbuds feature a revamped antenna design that improves signal continuity during usage, which should reduce incidents of dropped signals.

Other improvements with the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 include adaptive active noise-cancelling (ANC), and an upgraded battery system that according to Sennheiser can lasp for up to 7.5 hours of playback, although users can of course top up their charge via the USB-C charging case. The MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 earbuds will be available in three colours including black copper, metallic silver, and graphite, and will be available to pre-order on February 15th for £259.99

Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus

For those after an over-ear audio experience, Sennheiser offers the new ACCENTUM Plus headphones, which are designed with optimum sound and comfort in mind. The headphones pack integrated touch controls into the earcups, meaning that there’s less fiddling around when skipping trakcs, adjusting volume, as well as answering calls in the middle of music sessions.

Additionally, the headphones also come with support for multi-point connectivity, adaptive ANC as well as wind noise reduction, ensuring that the outside world doesn’t get in the way of your music. For battery life, the headphones can go for up to a whopping 50 hours of use on a single charge, making them ideal for long flights and trips. There’s also an included cable, so you can use the ACCENTUM Plus with devices that feature a headphone jack. They’re available in black and white variants, and will be available from February 20th for £199.99

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport

Last but not the least are the MOMENTUM Sport earbuds, which are specifically designed for active users who like to listen to their music and podcasts while on the move. The earbuds feature a photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate sensor and a body temperature sensor that can feed data to users’ health and fitness tracking apps, including wearables from Apple, Garmin, as well as compatible Strava and Peloton products, to name a few. It also comes with IP55 certification, making it safe to use during intense workouts.

Other staples such as ANC, transparency and anti-wind mode make their way onto the MOMENTUM Sport, in addition to an all-new acoustic system with a redesigned transducer, that according to the company can deliver the best sound quality ever in a Sennheiser-branded sport earbud. For battery life, the earbuds can last for up to six hours on a single charge, although users can extend this to 24 hours via the Qi-compatible charging case. The MOMENTUM Sport earbuds will be available from April 9th for £259.99, and will be available in Polar Black, Burned Olive, and Metallic Graphite.
