The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7’s outer display features a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED cover display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, with 11% more screen space compared to last year’s model. Inside, the phone’s 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable screen serves as your main portal to all your media and software. It gets pretty bright, and maxes out at 2,600 nits—suffice to say, it should be ideal for outdoor viewing in general. It’s powered by a 4,400 mAh battery, which is quite small and charges with a maximum speed of 25W.

Under the hood, the Z Fold7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a common sight among this year’s crop of Android flagship phones. It also comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, although it’s also available with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, topping out at 16GB of RAM and a hefty 1TB of storage. Software-wise, you’ll get One UI 8 running on Android 16, packed with a range of AI features from both Samsung and Google such as Galaxy AI, Google Gemini, and exclusive Samsung software services.

As for the Z Fold7’s design design, Samsung has added some tweaks to how it looks and feels—as a result, the new foldable is lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra at 215 grams, and measures just 4.2mm when unfolded. Impressively enough, it manages to stay relatively-slim at 8.9mm even when closed shut. For protection, you’re getting IP48 ceritifcation, along with Samsung’s Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the rear, and Gorilla Glass Ceramic on the front display.
