What's This?

As far as 2023 smartphone lineups are concerned, OnePlus has showed no signs of letting other brands take over the throne, and it looks like we’re getting another set of new OnePlus products soon, under the brand’s “Nord” range. Hardware details have been leaked online, which shows what OnePlus fans can expect once the new phone launches, and we’ve even gotten some pretty shocking news earlier this week – let’s take a quick look!

Exiting Europe?

That’s not the only OnePlus news this week, though – a ton of rumours have popped up suggesting that the brand (along with sister company Oppo) will be exiting key markets in Europe including France, Germany and such. The company has since issued a statement however that denies its supposed exit from the region.

The company says that it “will not exit” from Europe and the UK, and will maintain stable operations in local markets. OnePlus stresses that it will continue to “invest in Europe and provide more innovative product and solutions for its users.”

Nord CE 3 Lite

Recently, several leaks about a new OnePlus phone have been making rounds online, via an initial Twitter leak from user @Sudhanshu1414. The leaks were spotted via an AnTuTu benchmark listing, which gives details on the upcoming Nord CE 3 Lite.

The leaked specs show that the Nord CE 3 Lite will ship with an LCD screen (no AMOLED sadly) with a 1,800×2,400 pixel resolution, and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, running alongside 8GB of RAM as well as 128GB of internal storage.

In terms of software, the phone will come with Android 13, albeit layered with ColorOS. For optics, there’s a triple camera set-up on the back which is housed in a pair of large camera bumps. This includes a 108MP main sensor, 2MP macro and depth sensors, and a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The Nord CE 3 Lite will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The phone is expected to launch on April 4 next month, but that’s not the only thing launching soon.

Nord Buds 2

In addition to the Nord CE 3 Lite, a new pair of wireless earbuds will make their appearance in April as well. OnePlus teased their upcoming Nord Buds 2 through the company’s official Twitter account, which gave a bit of detail as to what people can expect in terms of hardware. A photo showcasing the product states that the Nord Buds 2 will come with 12.4mm Titanium dynamic drivers inside, and OnePlus says that this will provide users with better bass and treble during music sessions.

Aside from this however, no other details were “officially” revealed by the company, so details such as battery life, IP ratings and such have yet to be given to the public. Of course, other information such as pricing and availability aren’t available right now, so fans will have to do a bit more waiting until April 4 for the full story on the Nord Buds 2.
