Sony fans, rejoice – the Japanese electronics giant has just announced two new headphones – the WH-CH720N and the WH-CH520 – which come with some nifty new features for music and media sessions. The new headphones feature lengthy battery performance, as well as Digital Sound Enhancement Engine which Sony says produces high-quality sound.

It’s also lightweight at 192 grams, making it comfortable and ideal for long music sessions thanks to 35 hours of battery life (with noise cancelling activated).

Sony says that the V1 chip produces an authentic listening experience by reproducing details in music tracks, alongside reduced distortion, with sound tuning designed to be well-balanced from low to high frequencies with natural and clear vocals. It also incorporates reduced processing delay, as well as two microphones in each earcup that blocks ambient noise from your immediate surroundings.

As mentioned, it also comes with Sony’s Digital Sound Enhancement Engine which produces a high-quality sound, that lets users listen to their music in a way that sounds much closer to the original recording.

Connectivity and Call Features

In terms of call quality, the WH-CH720N headphones come with Beamforming microphones with Precise Voice Pickup technology, that allows the headphones to pick up your voice more clearly and accurately even in different environments. This is in addition to a newly-developed Wind Noise Reduction Structure around the microphones that reduces background noise.

Meanwhile, the WH-CH520 headphones also works with easy hands-free calling, thanks to easy-to-use controls situated on the earcups. Sony says it’s included built-in microphones and noise suppression processing for clear-sounding calls in noisy environments. Both headphones come with Multipoint connection with Swift Pair and Fast pair, allowing them to connect with multiple devices effortlessly.
