What's This?

It’s only a few more weeks til 2026, but we’re still getting a lot of tech news all around. This week has been a big one for Samsung in particular, following the announcement of its fancy new Galaxy Z TriFold. We also got a good look at DJI’s industrial-grade FC100 drone, and Nothing has decided to spruce things up with some new blood within its ranks. Let’s take a look!

Samsung Finally Unveils the Galaxy Z TriFold, and it Looks like it’ll be Incredibly Expensive

Months after initial info that Samsung was working on an upcoming super-foldable , the Korean tech giant has finally and officially unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, its biggest foldable device so far. When opened, the device’s main screen measures 10 inches; when folded up, there’s a 6.5-inch cover screen in front with a 120hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2600 nits.. There’s no official word on pricing yet, although estimates are betting on either $2500-$3000 once the phone launches worldwide.

Nothing Recruits Loewe’s Charlie Smith

Tech brand Nothing recently announced that it was bringing over industry veteran Charlie Smith to serve as Chief Brand Officer, following his stint as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Loewe, a high-end luxury fashion brand. Smith will take over Nothing’s “global brand, image, marketing, communications, and store design” and will report to CEO Carl Pei. He formally starts work at Nothing in January of 2026.

Nubia Wants to Take on Rival Foldable Phones with its Newest Device

Ever since the arrival of the first few foldable devices on the consumer electronics market some years ago, smartphone manufacturers have continued to push the boundaries of what they can achieve, such as Nubia with its new Nubia Fold. The Nubia Fold comes with a main inner foldable screen which measures eight inches, and on the outside, you get a 6.5-inch cover screen. The phone is now available for buyers in Japan starting at around $1,145 when converted.

DJI’s New Drone is Designed for Heavy-Duty Payload Transport

DJI recently announced the launch of its new Flycart 100 (dubbed the FC100), a drone that goes beyond the usual aerial-photography-feature-set seen on most of DJI’s previous models. DJI says that the drone is built to be able to transport payloads with a maximum of up to 100 kg thanks to a new wing design as well as larger, high-torque motors this time around. The company adds that the FC100 is able to carry up to 65 kg for a distance of 12 km, or 80 kg for up to 6 km.

Red Dead Redemption is Now Available for Mobile Devices

Rockstar games finally released the port of its 2010 action-adventure title Red Dead Redemption, which is now available for both Android and iOS devices. The mobile port features the Undead Nightmare expansion pack in addition to content from the game’s “Game of the Year” edition, alongside the main campaign. While the game itself costs around 40 bucks via Rockstar Games’ app selection, users with a Netflix subscription can play the game for free as well, provided that their phone is able to run the game of course.
