Another week, another collection of tech headlines—as we draw closer and closer to the Autumn months, we’re seeing no shortage of big new from several brands and companies within the industry. Just this week alone, we’ve gotten some updates from Finnish handset manufacturer HMD with its new cloud-powered compact smartphone, Sennheiser’s latest premium headphones, and we bid farewell to Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. Lets get started!

Windows 10 Support Ends Soon

After a decade following its launch, Microsoft is soon ending support for its Windows 10 operating system, which officially goes into “end of support” status on October 14, 2025. With this, Microsoft is actively urging users to upgrade to Windows 11, which requires minimum specs such as 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and DirectX 12-compatible graphics, although users whose devices are ineligible for the upgrade might want to sign up for the Windows 10 Consumer Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which offers up to a year of continued protection.

TCL Teams up with Call of Duty for its New Gaming Monitors

TCL recently announced that it’s teamed up with popular gaming franchise Call of Duty to announce its new lineup of QD-Mini LED gaming monitors which consist of the G64, R84, and R94 Series. The G64 Series is the most affordable with a QHD resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, AMD FreeSync, and HDR600 with 180 local dimming zones, while the R84 Series features 1100 dimming zones and HDR1400 brightness and comes in 32-inch and 34-inch curved variants; meanwhile, the flagship R94 Series sits at the top with 2300 dimming zones, built-in KVM functionality for managing multiple devices, and a dedicated gaming headphone hanger.

Sennheiser’s New HDB 630 Headphones Go Live

Sennheiser recently introduced the HDB 630 headphones, a premium addition to its high-end audio lineup that blends advanced tuning with the aesthetics of their MOMENTUM 4 range. The headphones come with a custom acoustic system featuring a 42 mm dynamic transducer and acoustic treatments designed for smoother mids and intimate vocals, and even support for up to 24-bit 96 kHz music resolution via USB Type-C or analog cable. The headphones are available for pre-order at £399.90, and ship on October 21st with a complete set of bundled accessories.

HMD Seemingly Revives Nokia’s Compact Asha Line with its New Touch 4G

HMD recently unveiled the new and compact Touch 4G, a budget-friendly touchscreen handset which features the aesthetics of Nokia’s Asha line. Primarily intended for Indian markets, the phone offers users cloud-hosted browser apps in addition to modest specs. It’s also affordable at just $45, and includes basic hardware like a small 3.2-inch LCD screen with a 320×240 (QVGA) resolution, a Unisoc T127 chipset with 64MB of RAM and 128MB of storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD), and a 1950 mAh battery, alongside a 3.5mm jack and basic 0.3MP front and 2MP rear cameras.
