Samsung’s been pretty busy at IFA 2025 this past week with a ton of new announcements from its hardware and software divisions; that in mind, the company also unveiled its new addition to its midrange Fan Edition series, the Galaxy S25 FE. Samsung says that the S25 FE is designed to deliver a flagship-like experience at a more accessible price point, just a step below the mainline S-series handsets.

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy S25 FE features a fairly-large 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED 2X screen. It also comes with an adaptive refresh rate which can switch between 120Hz and 60Hz depending on what’s running at the time. It’s wrapped in a glass and metal chassis and is available in Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy, and White colour variants, and comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It does resemble the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus, especially with the triple camera setup on the rear (more on that later).

Inside the phone runs on Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 chipset, which is the same chip used in some of Samsung’s Galaxy S24-series phones. You also get 8GB of RAM and a selection of different storage options including 128GB, 256GB, and a more roomy 512GB as well. There’s also a decently-sized battery in the mix, which packs a 4900 mAh capacity cell. It’s not quite the same massive capacities that we’ve been seeing on other brands, but does bring it just between the S25 and S25 Ultra’s batteries. For software, you’re getting Android 16 operating system alongside One UI 8, as well as a ton of AI features from both Google and Samsung.

As for its cameras, the Galaxy S25 FE is equipped with a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide with a 123-degree field of view, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 12MP camera with a F2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. It’s priced starting at £649.

Other differences between the two devices include an 8,400 mAh battery for the Tab S11 which contrasts the massive 11,600 mAh capacity cell on the S11 Ultra, as well as a higher maximum RAM and storage capacity on the S11 Ultra, which tops out at 16GB and 1TB versus 12GB and 512GB on the S11.
