Edifier’s wide range of speakers and wireless audio gear is one of the more impressive selections that we’ve seen on the market, and the brand recently announced a new addition to its lineup with the new G2000 Pro, a pair of desktop speakers that pack quite a punch while keeping things relatively compact. They also feature a design that should appeal to users who are after a gaming-centric aesthetic, but what else do they come with? Let’s check them out.

Edifier says that the G2000 Pro is “designed for both style and performance,” and come with a rather angular but sleek transparent chassis. They’re clearly designed to be used primarily with gaming setups, and even come with customizable RGB ambient lighting, which works via a three-sided panoramic light design. The speakers’ futuristic design certainly looks sharp without going overboard, and is likewise available in black, white, and pink versions. They’re also relatively compact with a width that’s roughly the size of a palm, allowing them to fit into most tablet setups.

As for its sound, Edifier says that the G2000 Pro is designed with HECATE Gaming Center Software which is tailored for different sound modes including gaming, music and movies. There’s also support for 7.1 surround sound by way of a built-in DSP chip, and there’s also a 3-inch full-range internal magnetic driver that can deliver up to 32W output. For connectivity, you’re getting Bluetooth 5.4, USB-A & USB-C audio streaming, as well as AUX input. In addition to full compatibility with most PC setups, they also work with home consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox Series, and even the Nintendo Switch.

The speakers also come with Edifier’s new TempoFlow dynamic lighting effects technology, which works by synchronizing light effects based on sound; additionally, there are seven built-in dynamic lighting modes including “Rainbow,” “Breathing,” “Meteor Pulse,” “Solid Colour,” “Cyber Light Ring,” and “Crisis Fortress,” all of which are customizable using HECATE’s Gaming Center software. They’re available for £149.99 from Edifier and online retailers including Amazon.
