What's This?

Google recently announced that the Pixel 10 series will be arriving this August, and it’s only a matter of time before we get even more leaks about the new devices. A while back, a set of photos shared online revealed what appeared to be behind-the-scenes photos of a camera crew filming a Google Pixel 10 advertisement, and this time around we’ve gotten a better idea of what the Pixel 10 will look like once it makes its debut.

A new set of photos from the folks over at Android Headlines show the Pixel 10 in four different colour models, which according to the source is the base model Pixel 10. While Google has retained the Obsidian model, it’s added three new additional colour variants including Indigo, Frost, and Limoncello. The photos released pretty much confirm the leaks that we’ve seen months ago, which essentially reuses the design first seen on the Pixel 9 series.

Earlier on, product renders shared by Android Headlines and tech informant @Onleaks show that Google is planning on giving the Pixel 10 series phones a familiar look, save for a few key changes. The phone will feature a design that’s essentially the same as on the Pixel 9 from last year, which initially introduced flat sides and an overall iPhone-esque appearance to Google’s own brand of Android handsets.

Starting with the base model Pixel 10, fans of Google’s smartphone range can expect the same look and feel if they already own the Pixel 9. Unlike the Pixel 9a which sheds the camera bar on the rear panel, the Pixel 10 – for better or for worse – sticks to this established design, which arguably keeps Google’s phones distinct and easily identifiable from the rest of the competition. One key change however is that the Pixel 10 will now come with three camera lenses on the rear panel – previously, all base-model Pixel flagships came with two cameras at the most, which usually consisted of a main sensor and a secondary ultra-wide sensor.

As for the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, there’s not much difference from last year, as they already come with three camera sensors by default. The 10 pro and 10 Pro XL renders also show a glossy metallic frame, a contrast to the matte frame seen on the regular Pixel 10. All phones are also expected to feature the same dimensions, albeit with some minor differences in terms of overall thickness. Interestingly though, the renders show that the sim slot has now been moved on the top end of the phones, meaning that Google might return to its dual-grille design seen on previous Pixel models.
