What's This?

Not too long after unveiling its Pura 70 Series for European markets, Huawei once again took centre stage as it announced several new product releases, covering everything from computers to wearables, all the way down to software. As such, the Chinese electronics giant has been rather busy over the past year, as seen with these new announcements. With that said, let’s get started!

CHECK OUT: Huawei’s New Pura 70 Series Phones Arrive for More Markets Worldwide

Meet the Huawei Watch Fit 3

First up is the Huawei Watch Fit 3, which packs a revamped design which – dare we say it – looks very familiar. With that said, the watch features a 1.82-inch AMOLED display wrapped within an ultra-slim aluminium alloy chassis. In addition to the touchscreen, it also features a rotating crown for navigation.

The Watch Fit 3 works in tandem with the “Stay Fit” app which features a broader food database, over 50 regions, as well as a new nutritional analysis feature that complements users’ exercise routines. It also packs Huawei’s TruSleep 4.0, which offers sleep tracking, improved sleep scoring, and even Sleep Breathing Awareness. Huawei also claims 30% more stable heart rate monitoring, and a revamped SpO2 interface lets users check your blood oxygen saturation in just 25 seconds. The Watch Fit 3 will be available in the UK and Europe on the Huawei Store from 7th May, with wider retailers following from the 22nd May starting at £139.99.

The Huawei Watch 4 Pro goes Extraterrestrial

Up next we have Huawei’s premium Watch 4 Pro model, which now comes in a more unique “Space” edition. Huawei says that this version of the Watch 4 Pro is made from aerospace-grade DLC materials, and features the “LAVAL concept” which is based on the de Laval nozzle used in rockets. In addition to aesthetics, it packs upgraded health and fitness features like HUAWEI’s TruSeenTM 5.5+ for more precise health monitoring, as well as Health Overview 2.0 which provides an enhanced health report with new health data and trend analysis.

As for availability, Huawei says that the special edition Watch 4 Pro will be available from the Huawei Store from May 7, with wider retailers following from 22nd May, priced at £549.99.

New MateBook Pro, and Uniquely-Designed Tablet

As we mentioned earlier, Huawei’s product showcase covers devices of all screen sizes – this also includes the new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro. Priced starting at £2,099.99 in the UK, the laptop features a lightweight chassis (as per MateBook tradition) that packs an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor inside, making it ideal for both on-the-go productivity, casual use, and a bit of gaming as well. Huawei adds that the new MateBook X Pro is one of the slimmest in its class, weighing at just 980g, and 13.5 mm thick.

There’s also the HUAWEI MatePad S, which is priced at £349.99 and comes with an 11.5-inch display. It’s the first productivity tablet to feature Huawei’s PaperMatte Display, which according to the company reduces reflections and light interference, allowing comfortable use even in bright surroundings while maintaining a user-friendly 3:2 aspect ratio, a high 144Hz refresh rate, and a sharp 2.8K resolution.

Huawei GoPaint

Last but not the least, we have “GoPaint” – Huawei’s self-developed painting app is the result of a collaborative effort between Huawei’s 2012 Laboratories and eight R&D teams, and incorporates expertise in materials, physics, graphics, and fine arts to deliver what the company describes as a “realistic” painting experience. It features over 100 virtual brushes and innovative textures, and runs on the FangTian Painting Engine. Huawei adds that responsiveness is a key focus for the app, which is able to provide users with low latency, high frame rates, and abundant layers for smooth responsiveness.
