What's This?

The new Nokia Lumia 1020 made a big bang this year, and not only did it capture the minds of many smart phone photographers’ enthusiasts, it also managed to capture the minds and imaginations of many famous photographers who have spent many years taking photos from wedding to fashion to simple street photos using some of the best photography tools in the market today.

Nokia’s new Lumia 1020 with 41 MP camera is no gimmick is certainly not just another number stamped on the specs sheet, the 41 megapixel camera sensor is coupled with pure view technology, optical image stabilisation and amazing high-resolution zoom, there is no other smartphone that can compete yet with Nokia’s latest photographic technology.

Every detail can be captured and using the camera software included you can control the aspects of the photography; you can change ISO settings, exposure levels and even manually focus on your subject.  Low light performance is also extra ordinary and nothing has come close in a very long time.  The true innovation is only the beginning or a sneek peak into the future of mobile photogtaphy, who knows maybe one day we can do without a DSLR completely as demonstrated in the video below.

NYC-based director and film maker Paul Trillo (Salience’) has captured 41 blocks of New York’s 5th Avenue in 41 still images from Nokia’s new 1020 smartphone, paying testament to the fact that this camera can shoot up to 41 megapixel resolution. Paul’s early morning walk through the heart of Manhattan has been documented into his creation of an endless zoom sequence awakening the city as he moves further along the street. With the incredible zoom quality featured on the camera, viewers are taken on a visual journey from dusk until dawn through the hub of New York. Paul brings the city to life, taking viewers on a simulated voyage through the city as if they are driving through the roads themselves.

Watch it yourself and you will be amazed!
