Samsung Goes Live at TwitchCon Paris 2023

Samsung’s efforts towards integrating gaming services into its many products and platforms has been an interesting development, with the company devoting considerable time and effort into services like its “Gaming Hub” and the upcoming “Game Portal.” As such, the company also recently announced that it will be joining this year’s TwitchCon, to be held in Paris, France.

More specifically, Samsung will be present as a presenting partner at the event, which will take place at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles on Saturday, July 8, to Sunday, July 9. TwitchCon is expected to draw thousands of gamers, influencers and various gaming communities to the convention.

Samsung says that this the first time that it will be playing a role as a major partner and sponsor at the convention, which is held biannually. TwitchCon gives special emphasis on how tech has united people and communities together to share their interests, passion and more. The South Korean electronics manufacturer will be showcasing its Galaxy S23 Ultra at the event, as a way to allow users to experience on-the-go gaming via Android. Saejin Kim, VP and Head of Marketing Strategy Group, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics states:

“We’re incredibly excited to be the main sponsor at TwitchCon Paris 2023. This event is a testament to technology’s power to unite people in celebration of shared passions such as gaming, and at Samsung, we believe the experiences we create are all the more epic and memorable when we do it together.”

In addition to the various activities at TwitchCon Paris 2023, attendants can expect to see Samsung’s own #PlayGalaxy Lounge. The company plans to give visitors a chance to get their hands on the latest Samsung products and features and gaming experiences. Samsung’s TwitchCon display will also feature the 85-inch Neo QLED 8K TV and 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor. Furthermore, TwitchCon attendees can also experience the Samsung Gaming Hub on on the company’s smart TVs and monitors, with access to a wide range of on-demand gaming titles via cloud platform.

Samsung has also collaborated with online influencers for the event, including #TeamGalaxy gaming influencers such as rewinside (@rewinstagram) and Gee Nelly (@Geenelly) for some live gaming action, in as well as meet-and-greets for their fans and followers. Visitors will also have a chance to use the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone to play around with popular mobile games including “Brawl Stars,” “Asphalt 9” and “PUBG Mobile.” Samsung adds that a tournament will let guests compete among themselves and against #TeamGalaxy.

Finally, Samsung says that it will be using the Galaxy S23 Ultra for a photo booth and studio setup, complete with a backdrop for attendees to indulge in. Attendees who complete all the #PlayGalaxy Lounge activities will also be eligible for special rewards by presenting their Boarding Pass at each area to show that they’ve participated.
