What's This?

I have waited for so long for Apple to release the next big device after seeing some improvement in its usability with iOS 5 beta and all I needed now was a redisgned handset, some improvement in hardware performance and after playing with the likes of Samsung GalaxyS 2 and HTC sensation, I was hoping for bigger screen and better camera.

Usually I follow the event and heart pumps like im about to watch an episode of 24, however after the event all Apple had to deliver was dual core A5 processor, better camera, siri and some gimmick card app, it felt like I’d just watched a chick flick with my girlfriend, you know the one you dread to spend you hard earned cash to watch with a cup of black coffee to keep you awake. It felt like watching Ashton Kutcher instead of Charlie Sheen in one and half men, it wasn’t winning for me.

One thing for sure is, iOS 5 will do fine one my current iPhone 4, and the camera is just fine apart from the fact I own a DSLR camera anyway for taking HDR images and better pictures. You might say, it can’t all be bad, well to Apple’s credit they tend to work on better user experience but then again is siri a better user experience of just another function most people will find useless?, i’ll leave you to decide. I also believe it’s only logical they brought out the “[S]ame” version after iPhone 4 just like they did from iPhone 3G to 3GS. Now we’ll still continue to get annoying iPhone 5 leaks and rumors and hope it will actually raise stock share prices when it gets released or most importantly turn disappointed fans to happy ones, but how long do we have to keep waiting now?

Be sure to check out Apple’s website for details and pricing of the iPhone 4S

  1. the amount of pre orders Apple have shows no matter what they do, they have big fan base and good marketing strategy

  2. Why is it so disappointing?  It fits perfectly with Apple’s release cycle (the exception being the original iPhone), and with most people’s 24 month contracts.
3G – Big Launch – New design, 3GS – Incremental Upgrade with mainly OS improvements, 4 – Big Launch – New design, 4S – Incremental Upgrade with mainly OS improvements. However the difference is under the skin (just as the 3GS was)

    • I understand that, but it was still disappointing for me as I felt like I waited for so long for nothing, my upgrade is due and I don’t think it’s a good enough reason for me to upgrade.  Like you said thought, I hope the iPhone 5 comes with a bang.
