What's This?

It’s nearly the end of 2025, but the smartphone releases just keep coming—this time, it’s OnePlus who’s under the spotlight, albeit for a second time. The brand finally launched the OnePlus 15 flagship for global markets, following the initial debut of the phone for China just a while ago. Priced starting at £849 for buyers in the UK, OnePlus has packed a ton of impressive hardware inside the 15.

Like most flagship smartphones launched in late 2025, the OnePlus 15 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which is accompanied by up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. More impressively, the phone also features a massive 7,000mAh battery, outsizing batteries found on rival flagship devices from Samsung and Apple, for example. To keep all this power in check, the OnePlus 15 features an advanced 360-degree Cryo-Velocity Cooling System which consists of a large 3D vapour chamber, aerogel insulation, and a graphite back cover.

Unlike the OnePlus 13, the 15 comes with some tweaks to its design. The phone now comes with flat sides all around similar to the OnePlus 13s from a few months ago. It’s available in three different colours including Black, Violet, and a new “Sandstorm” model, all of which come with reinforced glass on both the front and back. It’s also rated for IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection against dust, water, and splashes. OnePlus has also ditched the alert slider, which has now been replaced by a dedicated action button. In front, you’ll find a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display with an incredibly smooth 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800 nits.

Another big change this year is the camera branding, which no longer carries the Hasselblad logo. OnePlus has opted instead for its own in-house camera processing technology, with Oppo now claiming the Hasselblad partnership in its own smartphones. The phone’s camera system consists of a triple-lens setup with a 50MP wide lens with f 1/8 aperture and OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide lens.

As such, the OnePlus 15’s camera setup also supports features like Laser focus, a colour spectrum sensor, HDR, and LUT preview, with video recording capabilities up to 8K@30fps and various 4K options, complete with gyro-EIS and Dolby Vision. In front you’ll find a selfie camera with a single 32 MP wide lens with autofocus for selfies and video calls. As for availability, the OnePlus 15 is now up for pre-order over at OnePlus’ UK website, and OnePlus is also offering special pre-order discounts as well as trade-in promos.
