What's This?

It only seems like yesterday when Google first unveiled the Pixel 9a, which introduced some new changes to the company’s budget line of smartphones, most notably with its almost un-Pixel-like appearance. That in mind, there have been reports that company is preparing to launch its follow-up—the Pixel 10a—much earlier this coming 2026.

In fact, we’ve already gotten some leaks about the Pixel 10a. Earlier on, a handful of leaked renders from @Onleaks and Android Headlines showcased what could very well be the Pixel 10a’s design, which pretty much comes with the same look as the Pixel 9a with its non-existent camera bar. There are a few tweaks to the camera cutout alignment though, and the 10a might even come with slimmer bezels when compared to its predecessor, at least going by the renders.

In more recent news though, tech leaker Evan Blass shared key specifications of the Pixel 10a via his Twitter/X page, which if true might mean that the Pixel 10a won’t be that much different from the 9a. Other early leaks claim that the 10a will come with the same Tensor G4 chipset, which is what Google uses for the entire Pixel 9 series. The phone is also rumoured to feature a starting memory and storage configuration of 8GB and 128GB (same as the 9a), which in 2025 is a bit questionable.

Additionally, many are speculating that the 10a will run on the same battery capacity as the Pixel 9a at 5100mAh. This isn’t bad per se as the 9a packs one of the largest batteries in the entire Pixel lineup, although given that Chinese brands are now capable of stuffing 6,000 and 7,500mAh silicon carbon batteries into their newer models (at cheaper prices, mind you), this seems like a missed opportunity for Google to at least upgrade the Pixel 10a in a significant area.

Another similarity is the dual-camera setup on the rear panel, which will consist of a 48MP and 13MP camera combo with a 13MP front sensor. Like a lot of other details on this list, this is pretty much the same setup that the Pixel 9a uses. One difference though is that the 10a might (strong emphasis on that) feature slimmer bezels, and will come with a slightly-smaller screen at 6.2 inches vs 6.3 on the 9a.

Of course at this point in time though nothing is confirmed, although going by past Pixel leaks, we’re willing to bet that Blass’ info might be highly accurate, in which case we’re hoping that Google keeps the price same on the 10a.
