These days, it’s rare to see a smartphone manufacturer launch a new flagship phone in just one size or configuration (unless you’re Sony, for example), and most brands often resort to offering buyers different hardware setups at different prices. This is pretty evident with Vivo’s new X300 series phones, which include the standard X300 model and the larger X300 Pro. The phones were recently announced for buyers in China, but what exactly do they come with?

Much like the rest of Vivo’s X-series line, the X300 models feature pretty versatile camera setups. In the case of the X300 Pro, Vivo has included a triple-camera setup in the rear with a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor, and a 200MP Samsung HPB periscope telephoto sensor. There’s also a 50MP selfie camera, and users can choose to purchase a camera attachment which clips onto the back of the phone.

Powering the X300 series is MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500 processor, which is accompanied by different RAM and storage configurations at 12GB or 16GB for the Pro, paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB, respectively; meanwhile, Android takes the form of Origin OS, which comes with exclusive apps and software services from Vivo. There’s a pretty large 6,510mAh battery in the mix, which comes with 90W charging speeds, as well as 40W wireless charging support. The front of the phone comes with a 6.78-inch display that features a 1.5K resolution as well as a 120Hz refresh rate.

Understandably, the “regular” X300 variant does come with some hardware differences, such as a smaller 6.3-inch display, and a smaller 6040mAh battery. Interestingly though, it features a higher-resolution main sensor, which comes in at 200 megapixels. The rest of the phone is pretty similar overall to its more expensive sibling, including the design with the massive camera cutout. Both phones also support 4K video recording at a maximum of 120 fps, although the X300 Pro takes things one step further with 8K video recording support.
