What's This?

We’re finally back—after a quick holiday break, the entire tech industry was once again abuzz with the annual Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) in Las Vegas, where we got to see a ton of cool new hardware concepts, as well as product launches. That said though, trying to cover everything that we saw at CES 2026 would probably take too long, so here are some of the biggest tech highlights that we managed to witness this first week of 2026. Let’s get started!

CHECK OUT: Weekend Tech Round-up: Xiaomi’s Year-end Launches, Oppo’s New Midrange Tablet, and More!

Meet the Motorola Razr Fold

After years of sticking to more compact flip-style Razr foldables, Motorola finally tried its hand at designing its very own tablet-styled foldable—enter the Motorola Razr Fold. The device runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (NOT the Elite) chipset, in addition to an 8-inch inner display, which is paired with a 6.56-inch cover display. The phone also comes with Motorola’s signature design language.

Clicks Wants to Bring Back Dedicated Keyboard Phones with the new Communicator

One big highlight of CES 2026 was Clicks, which initially made itself known with the launch of custom keyboards for phones like the iPhone and Pixel series. More recently though, the company unveiled its new Clicks Communicator, an upcoming smartphone which comes packed with its own keyboard, similar to devices from BlackBerry. It’s not out yet, but the company promises a “premium” typing experience once the device makes its way into the hands of buyers.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Packs an Impressive Camera System and Massive Battery

Honor wasn’t present at Las Vegas, with the company choosing instead to hold its own launch event in London. The Honor Magic 8 Pro comes with a massive camera module, similar to other phones like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Vivo X300 series devices, for example. This camera island houses the phone’s AI 200MP telephoto camera, with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/2.6 aperture. Honor is fairly confident of its long-range imaging capabilities, and it even comes with dedicated “SuperNight Camera” processing, which is designed for low-light shots.

Xiaomi Adds Two New Devices to its POCO Smartphone Lineup

Just a couple of weeks after the arrival of the highly-anticipated Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi recently announced the launch of two new additions to its POCO series lineup with the POCO M8 and M8 Pro. If they look a bit too familiar, that’s because both devices borrow heavily from the Redmi Note 15 series phones. There are some key differences when it comes to overall processing power—the Pro model runs on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, while the regular POCO M8 is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor.

Samsung’s Massive 130-inch Micro RGB TV is Insanely Impressive

Not one to get left behind, tech giant Samsung took to stage to announce its new 130-inch Micro RGB TV (R95H model), the company’s largest Micro RGB display to date. Samsung says that the new TV is designed using its “Timeless Frame” design approach, which combines modern electronics with a more art-focused approach, featuring a design that you’d expect to see in an art gallery or studio.

LG Wants to Make Smart Home Living Easier with your Own Robot Assistant

In what could probably be described as a cross between The Jetsons’ “Rosie the Robot” and EVE from Wall-E, LG’s new CLOiD robot assistant certainly looks the part as far as modern robots go. With that said though, LG wants to bring a more practical approach to modern robotics with its new concept, which is designed to help with physical household tasks such as loading the laundry and dishwasher for example.

LEGO’s Smart Play System Makes its Debut

While it’s not exactly a consumer electronics brand, we here on Gadgetsboy nevertheless cover the occasional LEGO story every now and then, thanks to its clever ways of crossing over into tech and gaming culture. Take for example the debut of the new LEGO Smart Play platform, a new range which centres around the SMART Brick. While it does look like a “regular” LEGO piece at first glance, the new accessory features a built-in platform which includes a custom processor, motion sensor technology, as well as an embedded sound system.

EDIFIER’s New M90 Speaker is Official

Edifier recently announced its latest range of audio products at CES 2026, which includes updated active speakers, studio monitors—at the top of the new lineup is the Edifier M90, a flagship-tier speaker which succeeds the M60 model, and is designed for use with PCs, televisions, and gaming consoles. The unit features a two-way design equipped with a 4-inch mid-low driver and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter, and is capable of delivering 100W RMS power and a sound pressure level of 100dB.

Pebble Expands its New Smartwatch Portfolio with the Round 2

It’s safe to say that the return of wearable manufacturer Pebble was nothing short of a pleasant surprise, and the company recently announced a new addition to its existing watch lineup with the Pebble Round 2. Right from the get-go, the Pebble Round 2 features a design that stands out from the rest of its current wearable line-up, both of which come with squared-off designs. It comes with a 1.3-inch e-paper display and a stainless steel chassis that comes in matte black, brushed silver, and rose gold.

Spotify Adds New Social Listening Features

In other news this past week, music platform Spotify recently announced two social features which it calls Listening Activity and Request to Jam, both of which are designed to foster real-time musical connections between friends. Rolling out globally by early February, Listening Activity allows users to share their current or recent tracks within chat windows, while Request to Jam enables Premium users to easily launch collaborative, remote listening sessions. Both features are optional and are restricted to existing contacts for users aged 16 and older.
