What's This?

The LG G2 is close to finally being unveiled, with the event reveal set for August 7 at New York City. LG has been madly sending out invites to different agencies for the show, which they hope will make the LG brand big in the US.

The newest invite shows a transparent phone with a finger toggling the back button, which seems to be the on/off switch for the phone. This feature has been leaked time and time again, but this is the most clear understanding on what it does.

Back buttons would allow LG to stack the phone with more screen on the front and less buttons. This does seem like an on/off switch though, if it had been a home button, we could just have soft keys.

Other specs on the LG G2 include the 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 3GB of RAM for better multitasking, this would be the first for both, even though Samsung may beat them to the processor with the Samsung Galaxy S4 with Snapdragon 800.

Either way, the LG G2 will be a powerhouse of a phone, hopefully sticking the LG named into the US and other regions. The company has done well with its Optimus line so far, but it has dropped the name for the simple LG G2 tagline.
