ASUS’ Latest ProArt Display Comes with a Hefty Price Tag

If you’re shopping around for a new and premium desktop monitor, then you’re in luck—ASUS recently announced that its ProArt Display (model PA32QCV) will be rolling out for buyers in late August, bringing with it a ton of great features aimed at content creators, as well as Mac users in particular. While it isn’t available until in a few more weeks’ time, we’ve nevertheless decided to check out what it offers—let’s take a look!

Priced at around $1299, the new ProArt Display measures 32 inches with a sleek look that’s not uncommon to see in most modern desktop monitors. You do get slim bezels all around the display with a set of controls on the lower right-hand corner, as well as a minimalist-looking metallic stand. As it’s designed for content creation, it comes with a 6K resolution display with 6016 x 3384 pixels, and ASUS adds that the monitor is factory-calibrated to ensure precise colors right out of the box, with a Delta E<2 rating. It also covers 98% of the DCI-P3 and 100% of the sRGB color spaces, and its 10-bit color depth displays over a billion colors.

The ProArt Display also comes with HDR visuals with HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR 600 support for better contrast and colour saturation. The monitor also features ASUS Light Sync technology, which automatically adjusts screen brightness and colour temperature for more consistent and accurate visuals, alongside a LuxPixel anti-glare coating that delivers a paper-like viewing experience with sharp details and minimal reflections. For Mac users, the monitor supports ASUS’ DisplayWidget Center app for macOS, in addition to a new M Model-P3 colour preset for Mac users, and easier integration with MacBooks.

In addition, users also get features such as built-in Auto KVM that allows users to easily control two different laptops or PCs using a single keyboard and mouse. As for connectivity options, the ProArt display comes with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for data transfer duties, video output, and 96-watt power delivery, and also functions as a convenient USB hub for connecting other peripherals. In addition, you’re also getting an pretty versatile array of ports including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB Type-A, a USB-C downstream port, and even a 3.5mm audio jack.
