As it’s one of the most popular game consoles this generation, the PS5 certainly has a wide and varied selection of accessories, both from third-party brands and even from Sony itself. From storage solutions to controllers, PS5 owners have an awful lot of brands and gear to choose from—take for example Razer, which recently announced the arrival of the Raiju V3 Pro, a new premium controller which Razer says is designed for competitive gaming.

Available in three different colours, Razer says that the Raiju V3 Pro is engineered for precision, featuring symmetrical TMR (Tension Magnetic Resistance) thumbsticks and Razer Pro HyperTriggers. These triggers allow users to switch instantly between rapid-fire mouse clicks and full analog control, which makes it a pretty versatile option for different gameplay styles. There’s also Razer Synapse 4 built-in so that players can fine-tune their specific trigger actuation points for better control.

Razer adds that input speed and a tactile feel are central to the design, as the controller is powered by the same ultra-responsive switches found in Razer’s top-tier gaming mice. It also includes four removable mouse-click back buttons and two claw grip bumpers, all of which are fully remappable. The face buttons and floating D-pad are constructed from premium double-shot PBT materials, which on paper should last longer against daily use. For software, players can use the Razer Mobile App and Synapse 4, to adjust thumbstick sensitivity, remap the button layout, and save up to four profiles directly to the onboard memory.

The Raiju V3 Pro isn’t the only high-profile PS5 accessory that was unveiled this month—not too long ago, Sony also announced the arrival of its new 27-inch Gaming Monitor, which features an IPS panel with a QHD resolution of up to 2560x1440p, as well as HDR support with Auto HDR Tone Mapping. For connectivity, the monitor features two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 for compatibility across PS5, PC, Mac, and other devices.

Going back to Razer’s new controller, it’s unsurprising that the Raiju V3 Pro is a bit on the expensive side of things, starting at around 200 quid. With that said though, the package does include a premium carry case and a detachable 2-meter USB Type-C cable, making the Raiju V3 Pro a solid option for travel and LAN setups.
