What's This?

A while back, Xiaomi announced the launch of the Xiaomi 15T series, which consisted of two phones including the 15T and 15T Pro. Part of Xiaomi’s upper-midrange T-series lineup, both devices come with some pretty impressive features that are designed to keep budgets in check, without compromising too much on hardware. In case you haven’t checked it out yet, we’ve finally published our full in-depth review of the Xiaomi 15T Pro model, which you can check out in the video below.

If you’ve somehow missed the launch of the 15T series, here’s a quick rundown of the specs sheet. The Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro come with a lot of similarities, especially when it comes to aesthetics. Take for example the display—both the 15T and 15T Pro feature large 6.83-inch AMOLED screens with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, with the same 1280×2772 pixel resolution. There’s a slight difference however, as the 15T Pro comes with a smoother 144Hz refresh rate, while the standard 15T comes with a slightly-lower 120Hz display.

As for cameras, both phones come with a triple-lens rear setup and 32MP front-facing selfie cameras. The standard Xiaomi 15T features a 50 MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, a 50 MP telephoto lens with an f/1.9 aperture, and a 12 MP ultrawide lens in the mix as well. By comparison, the Xiaomi 15T Pro features a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, which works alongside a 50 MP main camera, and a 12 MP ultrawide lens. Xiaomi has also worked alongside Leica to bring over some software-based photography features in the mix.

Under the hood, you’ll find that both phones are powered by MediaTek chipsets, although with slight differences as well. The Xiaomi 15T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra, while the more expensive 15T Pro comes with a Dimensity 9400+ processor, with storage and memory configurations starting at 256GB and 12GB of RAM. The Xiaomi 15T series also comes with 5500 mAh capacity batteries, and the 15T Pro supports 90W charging.

Priced starting at £549 for the Xiaomi 15T and £649 for the 15T Pro, the two phones enter a rather-crowded midrange smartphone market, although the capable chipsets, premium-looking designs and reasonable pricing do make them pretty attractive offers, especially in the case of the 15T Pro.
