It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a compact phone from OnePlus, so much so that the launch of the OnePlus 13T was enough to build a considerable amount of hype among fans of the brand. OnePlus even confirmed that it will bring over the 13T for Indian markets as the “13S”, expanding its reach and possibly paving the way for more premium compact OnePlus phones in the future.

With that being said however, it looks like the 13T’s overall global reach might be a bit limited, and buyers who were looking forward to getting the phone outside of China might miss out on the new pocket-friendly handset. According to a recent report from The Verge, the OnePlus 13T will not be available in Western regions, a statement that comes from the company itself—an official statement from OnePlus Europe’s Chief Marketing Officer, Celina Shi reads:
“…currently, we have no plans to launch the OnePlus 13s in Europe. That being said, we have noted the interest in the product from our European users, and we will keep it in mind as we make product launch decisions going forward.”

Across the pond, it seems that the 13T will not be available as well. Head of Marketing for OnePlus’ North American Division Spenser Blank likewise likewise confirmed the phone’s lack of availability for the United States and Canada. The launch of the 13T represented a shift towards smaller form factors for OnePlus, which has predominantly released smartphones with larger displays in recent years.
Similar to other “compact” devices like the Pixel 9 and iPhone 16 Pro series phones, the 13T comes with a 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a stark contrast to the rest of OnePlus’ current smartphone lineup. As for its design, the 13T measures just over 150mm (approximately 5.9 inches) in height and less than 72mm (around 2.8 inches) in width. One key departure from previous OnePlus phones though is the a newly-introduced “Shortcut Key” which works similar to Apple’s Action Button.

Of course, a major highlight of the 13T is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip inside, which pretty much designates the phone as a pocket-friendly flagship-tier device. With more manufacturers making a return to smaller premium phones, it was only a matter of time before OnePlus followed suit with the 13T. That being said though, the lack of availability for Western markets is a crying shame, especially for Android fans who have long been yearning for a smaller approach to premium Android phones.
